Phone University is a mobile learning app that lets you download and consume educational courses on your iPhone or iPad.
How courses work
Courses are stored as zip files on a Cloudflare R2 bucket and contain markdown text files for reading and MP3 audio files for listening. When you download a course, the app extracts it, parses the markdown into chapters and sections, and presents the content in a clean, readable format with chapter navigation.
Audio player built for learning
The app features a full-featured audio player for listening to course content, complete with playback speed control (0.5x to 3x), skip forward/back, chapter navigation, and background audio support with Lock Screen controls.
Your listening position is automatically saved when you pause, and playback resumes after interruptions like phone calls or text messages.

Each course can have a cover image or per-chapter images that display during reading and audio playback.

is designed with your privacy as a priority. We believe your use of the app is personal, and your data should stay that way.
Data Collection & Storage
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers. App data—such as preferences, progress, and saved content—is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage mechanisms.
AI Processing
When AI features are available, uses Apple on-device intelligence so processing happens on your device. Your content is not sent to external servers for AI processing.
No Accounts Required
does not require user accounts, registration, email addresses, or personal information to function. There are no analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs embedded in the app.
Data Deletion
Since data is stored locally, you have control over it. You can remove saved content from within the app (when available) or delete the app to remove associated data from your device.
Children's Privacy
does not knowingly collect information from children. The app contains no accounts or data collection mechanisms.
